Episode 17 - Janelle Murphey

On! episode 17 of the liquor lamp podcast, Joe-Joe spends some time talking to Janelle Murphey about her move to chicago, voices she can make, the worst time we ever bombed, and being vulnerable. Also, Joe-Joe gives a very lackluster inspirational talk at the start because he's anxiously awaiting a pizza. This episode works, but was mixed slightly differently than the others, so there might be a noticeable difference, though it works just as well as the others.

Episode 16 - JR De Guzman

On episode 16 of The Liquor Lamp Podcast with Joe-Joe Louis, Joe-Joe sits down with stand-up comic and funny song-writer JR De Guzman, fresh from his whirlwind travels across the Earth. JR and Joe-Joe talk about, among other things: JR’s trip around the world, how Joe-Joe lied to him one time, and how our parents feel about us pursuing comedy. Also, Joe-Joe talks about how he was asked to never return to an open-mic, and we get to hear the song “Amputee Girlfriend” performed by JR after drinking and eating at food trucks. This episode works, and is even in tune.

Episode 15 - Kim Martel

Episode 15 of the the liquor lamp podcast with joe-joe louis finds joe-joe having a long chat with his good friend and comedy peer Kim Martel, where they discuss a podcast she did one time, how hard she’s worked on who she is, titles for future comedy albums, and how delicious vodka is. Also on this episode, joe-joe talks about what happened when he heard that his mom might have thyroid cancer, and what the future of the liquor lamp podcast will hold. It’s like a 2-hour suicide note, and you’ll love every second of it. The Liquor Lamp Podcast: it totally works this time around.

Episode 14 - Jon Gomora

On episode 14 of The Liquor Lamp, Joe-Joe talks to good friend and comedy buddy Jon Gomora, and they discuss comedy, name-dropping, his family, catchphrases, and whether or not they are going to hang out later. Also, Joe-Joe blathers on about how he learned a few of the rules he needs to follow to suck less. If you want the cat come round you better work, just like this episode does.

Episode 13 - Robert Berry

On this episode of the Liquor Lamp Podcast, Joe-Joe sits down and chats with Mr. Retrocrush himself, Robert Berry, where the two discuss what got him into comedy, some of his weirdest experiences as a host, how is voice doesn’t match what he looks like, and the impact of Robin Williams’ passing. Also, during the show Joe-Joe whines about being tired and not getting an invite to ello, and his voice sounds one octave too high for some reason. This works in the worst sense of the word.

Episode 12 - Cheryl "The Soccer Mom"

On episode 12 of The Liquor Lamp Podcast with Joe-Joe Louis, in spite of his terrible interviewing abilities, Joe-Joe manages to have a wonderful conversation with the hilarious and interesting Cheryl “The Soccer Mom," wherein they talk about her favorite comedy experiences, how cold Minnesota is, and the healing power of comedy and laughter in the face of loss. Also, Joe-Joe relates his experience at the Sacramento Comedy Festival round four preliminary, and how he held a room of sixty people hostage with one of his favorite jokes. This works in the best way possible.
